College duties got heavier, and NC band fell apart. Ending back in Tyler, David started
a satellite company 1985, selling home tv satellite systems. David got buried in work and
set the guitar on the back burner for awhile. Through out doing satellite business, he
bought music gear, prepairing for another round in music, witch takes 25 years!

Billy Vickers
Billy, born 1986 in the east Texas town Jacksonville. Billy had a hard knock early in his life.
His Mom passes away at 5 years of age. His Dad being a musician, and a trucker, he spent
early years ride'n around the U.S. with his Mom and Dad. His Dad truck'n, he stayed with
his Grand Ma & Pa Vickers. His Dad had always played music, and always had a recording
studio, since he could remember. Growing up around music, and studios, he began to have
interest in bass guitar, after meeting a friend of his Dad's (Charles Lyons) bassist,
This sparked a fire to play bass, and along the way picked up the guitar. Age 17 he joins
David McCoy & The ReaL band, before he gets out of high school. Constantly continuing to
get better, Billy has proven, if you have the will, you can do any thing you set your mind too!
Billy sings, plays, and writes. Also taking up keys!
Bobby Vickers
Born 1955 just south of Nashville, in the hills of Tennesse. Family moves to Texas shortly after.
As a young boy, remembers his Mom and Dad, play'n music and singing. It rub off on him!
His parents purchased his first guitar, A Silvertone from Sears, at the age of 5. Learning songs
from the a/m radio, continued to learn. Bobby took music in school, and showcased his vocal skills,
score'n solo performances in most plays the school put on for parents and kids. Learned to play tuba,
and french horn, also pick up the drums, playing in the school marching band. Bobby started his first
garage band at 12. He found that the drums fullfilled the void of what he was looking for in music!
Family moved to east Texas in 1969. Quick to find ou the school did'nt have any music curriculum.
His heart sank! While attending school, all he could think about was playing music! So in his
spare time, he would set his drums up and play along with records, to keep up his chops.
Graduating high school in 1973, was a major blessing, and headed to Galveston. Right away, as
soon as he got there, he met some fellow musician's, started playing again! Going band to band,
looking for the right chemistry, he met Eddie Petree - guitarist. They worked a couple of years
together, all the time looking for a bassist to fit the bill. Never happened. As Eiddie took off
to visit his family, Bobby got ask to play drums in a local jazz band. They reheresed alot, but
never made it out of the rehersale room! 1977 comes, Bobby takes a gig play'n drums for Peewee Kershaw
Doug Kershaw's brother. A steady diet of polka music for 6 months took it's toll, Bobby left the band.
He started a job, long haul trucking. Going back and forth between playing music, and driving trucks,
Bobby kept search'n for the next opertunity to play music, travling across the country, stoping in
live music clubs, setting in where the bands would let him play! Through the trucking years, he got
married to Sharri, and they had 3 kids. Losing his wife after just 8 years, to blood clots, and left
with 3 little kids. Billy 5, Sissy 3, and 'lil Dave 18 months. This made a very big change in their
lives! Try'n to figure out how to make it through this life altering event, he throwed his self back
to the music. Music seem to help heal the wound of loss! Writing songs, recording and persuing vision.
Bob's parents helped watch the little ones, Bobby had drivers on the trucks, and had developed an old
car business. Buying more music gear, building a new studio, the music kept coming. Along with with a
new wife, and new step son! Bobby landed a gig at a church, and worked with the church band 3 years.
1995 rolls around, and life has been hard! The new marrage wasn't goin as planned. Break up and make up
went on for 5 more years. By 2001 the marrage ended. Still persuing the vision, he pours his self into
the music. 2002 comes, Bobby mets guitarist, David McCoy through a friend Kelly Barber of Action Sound.
David McCoy & The ReaL band was born, 2003 Billy, my oldest son takes the reins on the bass!
And it was a welcome happening! The rest is history.
David McCoy & the ReaL is still digg'n a (New path in Music!)
